Urgent appeal for solidarity: Let’s help Cuba get pacemakers

At this critical moment, Cuba urgently needs pacemakers as well as medications.

Currently, there is a shortage of approximately 1,500 of these crucial devices. Nearly 100 patients are forced to remain in the hospital, as they need a pacemaker to return home safely, avoiding the risk of a heart attack.

With the support of an American solidarity group, we are trying to address at least part of this crisis. Unfortunately, most pacemaker manufacturers refuse to send them to Cuba. However, we have identified an Italian company willing to provide them at affordable prices: around 500 euros for a single-chamber pacemaker.

Our goal is to be able to send 300-400 of these devices in the coming weeks.

With a donation of 500 euros to mediCuba-Europa, you can ensure the purchase of a pacemaker for a needy Cuban patient.
